Welcome to our site. My name is Andy Follett. Makeda McNeil, the band's female singer, and I head up the management team for Baby and the Geezers. Don't let the name fool you. Yes, we are all over 35 but we are not on oxygen bottles and in wheelchairs.
We got the name when we had a twenty something female lead singer who was unhappy with what we had for a rather unremarkable name at the time. I resisted being labeled a "geezer" but I will give her credit, the name sticks with people.
And honestly, do you really want a group of twenty-somethings looking puzzled when your mom, dad, or grandmother, who have no idea who Gotye, Maroon 5, Adele, Janelle Monae, Justin Bieber, Flo Rida, or Lady Gaga are, when they ask, "Don't you know anything we can dance to?" Of course you can dance to those artists but guests at an event or venue often want to hear music they recognize.
We do Maroon 5, Lady Gaga, and Adele (and more) but we also do Earth Wind and Fire, George Strait, Carrie Underwook, Pink, Smash Mouth, Otis Redding, Patti LaBelle, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Neil Diamond, Etta James, and much more...... and we do a great job at all of it. Not everything needs to be at "gangsta" volume and tempo at your wedding or event, unless that's what you want, and in that case, go with the twenty-somethings band.
Now that we have that out of the way, we are a class act of classy people that will accommodate your needs, volume specifications, and song requests to make your event go off without a hitch.
